How To Put A Duvet Cover On In Less Than 5 Minutes!
I really love duvets. I think they should be a staple for every bed set because they add texture, make the bed look cozy, keep you warm in the winter, and come in all sorts of different colors and designs to add to the rest of the bedding. However, putting the duvet cover on the duvet was SUCH a pain. Then I learned this trick and life has become so much easier! Here are the steps to put a duvet cover on in less than 5 minutes! No stuffing, cramming, flopping, or cardio work necessary! I call it the Burrito method 🌯
1) Flip the duvet cover inside out with the opening facing the headboard and the patterned side facing down
2) Place the duvet on top of the duvet cover
3) Tie the duvet cover to the corners of the duvet. I place safety pins on the corners of my duvet so that I have something to tie the cover to.
4) Start rolling the duvet cover and the duvet in a "burrito" fashion starting at the foot of the bed and rolling up towards the headboard where the opening of the duvet cover is.
5) Continue to do this until everything is rolled together like a Burrito
6) Pull the opening of the duvet around the "Burrito" so that it’s no longer inside out. Make sure to do this on both sides.
7) Unroll the duvet and duvet cover back down the bed
8) Ta-da! The duvet cover is now on. Now you can secure it by doing the buttons at the top of the duvet
9) I like to keep it folded at the bottom so that it looks nice and is accessible when I get cold 😊 Here is how I fold it 👉
