We have glass shower doors that we use shower spray on every day. During the Coronavirus Pandemic it became hard to find this in stores. So, we decided to make our own! I did some research and came up with this formula.
This spray works so well, even better than what we were buying! It prevents mineral and mildew build up. With just 4 ingredients, it’s super easy to make! 🚿
What You’ll Need
Empty Spray Bottle (I reused the bottle I used to purchase shower spray in)
Measuring Cups and Spoons
Funnel
3 Tbls Rinse Aid
3/4 Cup Hydrogen Peroxide
1/2 Tbls Liquid Dish Soap
Steps
1. Place the funnel in the empty spray bottle
2. Add 3/4 Cup Hydrogen Peroxide. This helps to sanitize the shower and prevent mildew build up.
3. Add 3 Tbls Rinse Aid. This is what will keep the water and minerals from marking the glass doors and keep them clear and clean.
4. Add 1/2 Tbls Dish Soap to help clean soap scum and shampoo off the shower surface
5. After all the ingredients are added, add hot water to the bottle to fill it up and dilute the cleaner.
6. Then put on the spray top and label it. All done! You are ready to have a clean and germ free shower!
To Use
Immediately after showering spray this on all surfaces I spray the shower walls, shelves, and bottom of the shower. Then I spray the doors. I use a rubber window scraper to then wipe off the excess spray from the doors and with it any shampoo or water that is on the door. I do this every day and never have to deep clean soap scum or mildew from the shower!
