Spooky Shows To Watch This Halloween

 

Hey everyone! It is officially October which means Halloween time!🍁🎃👻 Here is a list of Halloween shows and movies to watch. I searched some of the main streaming systems to find shows worthy of this list. These include scary movies, classics, and family friendly views (my favorite 🙋‍♀️)!!

Netflix

All Hallow's Eve - Kids, Movie. A witch turns 18 and has to stop an evil witch that is threatening to destroy the town. 

The Worst Witch - Kids, Series. Super cute series that is like Harry Potter if Hogwartz was only for girls. 

Goosebumps 2 - Kids, Movie. A good family friendly Halloween movie where Halloween Costumes and decorations come to life and try to ruin Halloween. 

What's New Scooby-Doo?  - Kids, Series, Animated. 

Scooby-Doo Zombie Island - Kids, Movie, Animated. This is one of my favorite Scooby-Doo stories that actually scared me as a child. 

The Little Vampire - Kids, Animated.

Ghost Patrol - Kids, Movie, Animated. Super cute, two kids and their dog investigate a haunted house. 

Hotel Transylvania The Series - Kids, Series, Animated. If you are a fan of the movies you will love this!

Sleepy Hollow - Classic, Movie. Johnny Depp and a good mystery with a headless horseman. Enough said. 

The Haunting of Hill House - Horror/ Thriller, Series. I LOVE this series!! I watched it all in one week when it was released last year and highly recommend it! It is perfectly scary and creepy, and has a great story/ mystery with lots of twists. 

The Haunting of Bly Manor - Horror/ Thriller, Series. By the Maker's of Haunting of Hill House, after the previous au pair dies in the lake, a new nanny moves into the huge Victorian house to care for the children and things get creepy. 

The Open House - Horror, Movie. This is one of those "I feel like we’re being watched" movies, however it is a Netflix original and well-done which makes it stand out from the rest.

Just Add Magic - Kids, Series. I love this show and actually watch it all year round. A group of friends bake magical spells while they solve a big mystery and save the cook book which has passed through multiple generations.

The Addams Family - Kids, Animated. This was released last year and I hadn't really heard about it until now, This movie is very cute especially if you are a fan of the original movies. 

Halloway's Eve - Kids. This is a story book being read which mirrors "Night Before Christmas". This is pretty short and a cute Halloween Themed Story for kids.

Arthur and The Haunted Tree House - Kids, Animated. I grew up watching Arthur before school every morning and I was so happy to see there was a movie I could still enjoy as an adult.

The Little Witch - Kids, Movie. This was originally filmed in German and then dubbed in English. It is a very cute movie about a witch that wants to dance with the rest of the witches at a festival but realizes she's not "good" at being a "bad witch".  Also, it's a little whimsical and I enjoyed the music!

Epic Home Haunts - Reality. People decorate their homes for Halloween. These people are SUPER into Halloween and create Haunted Houses on their property for everyone to enjoy. 

The American Scream - Reality. People decorate their homes for Halloween. I love looking at all these festive decorations and hearing the story behind them.

The Amityville Horror - Horror, Movie. One of my favorite scary movies! The original “Haunted House” movie. This one is from 2005, there are also older versions available on Amazon Prime.

Halloweentown - Kids, Movie. This is a series of 4 movies that takes place in a special “Haloweentown” where witches, warlocks, goblins and more come to life. These movies have some of the best Halloween staples including decorations, spooky music, and saving the town from evil spells. These were some of my favorite Halloween moves growing up, and it has become a tradition to watch them every year.

Hocus Pocus - Kids, Movie. This is THE BEST Halloween movie!!! If I could on,y pick one, this would be it. This is a magical story of three witches that come back from the grave because “a virgin lit a candle.” They attempt to reek havoc on the town while the adults are oblivious leaving the children to save the day.

The Haunted Mansion - Kids, Movie. Starring Eddie Murphy, this is a funny and “haunted” movie involving a haunted house where a mystery needs solved to help the souls of the ghosts to pass on. This movie is very funny and entertaining but spooky enough for all ages to enjoy.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch - Kids. This is the original Sabrina which I grew up watching so of course I love it!

Double Double Toil and Trouble - Kids, Movie. This is a super cute Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movie from the 90’s.

 

Pet Sematary - Horror, Movie. This is one of my favorite Stephen King stories! I loved the original movie and this re-make from 2019 doesn’t disappoint!

Frankenstein - Classic, Movie. 

The Munsters - Classic, Movie.

Monster House - Kids, Animated.

 

Monsterville Cabinet of Souls - Kids, RL Stine.

Mostly Ghostly - Kids, Movies, RL Stine. There are three movies, all super cute and family friendly.
